Departure from meeting point, then Piazza Repubblica with Naiadi's Fountain,Via Veneto, Sistina Spanish steps,Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon and ending at Piazza Navona, built on the ruins of the circus of Domitian and enriched by the magnificent. fountain of the four Rivers by Gian Lorenzo Bernini. Tour will finish at St. Peter Square

Ancient Rome:

Departure from meeting point, we will reach Piazza Venezia, Rome historical Centre wth the "Vittoriano", the altar dedicated to the memory of King Victor Emanuel II and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. The visit will continue to the Capitol Hill, Roman Forum, the Colosseum (interior visit)

Vatican City:

Visiting the Vatican Museums and the Art Galleries : the Round Hall and the Greek Cross, the Sistine Chapel with works by Michelangelo,Gallery of chandeliers, of Tapestries, of Geographical Maps, the Library hall. Finally we will visit the interior of St. Peter's Basilique with the famous Michelangelo's Pietà

Christian Rome:

Departure from meeting point, visit St. John's Basilique, the mother of churches; the Holy Stairs and the Old Appia way where Chapel of Domine Quo Vadis stands. Inside visit of San Sebastian Catacombs (aprox 30 min). Then short walk to see the Tomb of Cecilia Metella and on the way back to Rome we will admire the Caracalla's Baths.
On Sunday: Catacombs and Appia Way will be substituted by St Mary Major Basilique visit

Tivoli:

A drive to Tivoli visiting Villa Adriana built by the homonymous Emperor Adriano and Villa D'Este, ancient residence of Ippolito d'Este, with countless fountains, cascades, artificial grottoes and pavilions

Rome by night:

Night tour of Piazza della Repubblica, Via Veneto, Trevi Fontain, Via Nazionale, Piazza Venezia with the monument of King Emanuel II, Capitoline hill, Colosseum, Aventine hill, Circus Maximus, Tiberian Island, then up to the Gianicolo hill we will admire a beautiful view of Rome and finally St Peter's Basilica

Rome by night with dinner:

Night tour as above, but ending with dinner in a typical roman restaurant

Papal audience:

A short panoramic sightseeing of Rome on the way to St. Peter's where we will attend the Public Audience with the Holy Father, held in the Hall called "Sala Nervi"

Florence:

Florence is now a cultural centre as a result of its historic past,Visiting: The Accademia Gallery with its original David Statue, the Michelangelo's Third Pietà and Prisons, St. Maria del Fiore Cathedral, the Baptistery, the Giotto bell-tower, Signoria's Square and Palazzo Vecchio. After lunch at a typical restaurant, proceed to Piaza Santa Croce and free time for shopping. Before leaving Florence panoramic view of the city from Piazzale Michelangelo and return back to Rome in late evening

Orvieto & Assisi:

Visit Umbria,one of the most picturesque regions of Italy,Arrival in Orvieto,nice medieval town with its magnificent Cathedral. Continue to Assisi, the ancient and mistic town of St.Francis, with its colourful houses, narrow streets, flowerdecked balconies,noble palaces.Visit the church of St.Francis and of St. Mary of Angels. Lunch at restaurant. Late afternoon back to Rome

Naples and Pompei:

After leaving Rome,arrival in Naples.Short tour of the city. Proceeding our way to Pompei, short stop visiting a Coral and Cameo factory. Lunch at local restaurant and visit the excavations of the famous Roman city destroyed by the eruption of the Vesuvio vulcan in 79 AD. Time at disposal and then return back to Rome where we estimate to arrive around 9:00 pm

Capri:

After leaving Rome we will drive through the regions of Lazio and Campania, admiring the Abbey of Montecassino. Arrival at Naples port and embark to Capri island. From Marina Grande port by minibus we will reach Anacapri. Lunch in a typical restaurant. Transfer to Capri, at the famous Piazzetta. Time at leisure till the return back to Rome, in late evening. IMPORTANT: the Blue Grotto visit is optional and to be paid on spot as supplement
